A little light, delivered to your door every month

Because grief can feel really dark, and sometimes all you need is something warm, intentional, and nostalgic waiting for you in your mailbox.

Meet: Letters of Light 💌✨

In a world that moves fast and lives online, grief can feel incredibly isolating. Everyone eventually moves on, and you're still here, carrying it.

Letters of Light was created for you (or someone you know!) who needs truly meaningful and heartfelt grief support.

Every month, a carefully curated envelope arrives at your door. Not a package, not a box, not another course. A letter, a reflection card, and an affirmation. All beautifully packaged with high-quality materials, and assembled by hand by an actual human (me!).

Three intentional pieces, all designed to make you feel seen, held, and a little lighter than you did before you opened your mailbox.

This isn't about a "quick fix" for your grief or rushing your healing, because that is a truly sacred process. Letters of Light is meant to be gentle and intentional.

It is about making sure you never feel completely alone in it, and giving you something real and tangible to hold onto when the digital world just doesn't cut it. And, something that gently moves you along so you feel empowered and hopeful along the way.

A personal, heartfelt letter from Tara, typed on high-quality paper and signed and sealed by hand. Each month centers around a theme that meets you right where you are in your grief. Validating, warm, and written like it came from your best friend who actually gets it (because I do).

Three items, made with love.
Delivered to your door.

The Letter

The Reflection Card

The Affirmation Card

A gentle prompt to sit with—no pressure, no homework. Something to journal on, think about, hold onto, or let quietly live in the back of your mind. Designed to help you turn inward with curiosity and care instead of judgment or fear (I know how that can feel, and it's tough).

A beautifully designed affirmation card made to be displayed somewhere you'll see it every day. Your mirror, your nightstand, your journal, or you could even frame it! A little reminder, in writing, that you are going to be okay, and is something that's meant to inspire you along the way.

You enjoy!

Join before the 18th of the month to receive the that month's letters.

Tara writes, designs, and  assembles everything by hand.

Tara sends your letter by hand by the 20th of each month.

Your letter arrives intentionally by mail, where you can open it, enjoy it slowly, and savor it!

There's something deeply human about receiving a physical letter in the mail. About knowing that someone sat down, thought about you, and put something together just for you. That feeling? It's irreplaceable. And for someone who is grieving, it can mean everything.

Letters of Light exists to bring that feeling back. To give you something you can actually hold on the hard days. Something that doesn't disappear when you close a tab or scroll past it, and something that isn't AI. It's something real in a world that often doesn't always feel that way.

I don't know about you, but since my parents died, I've wanted to slow down time. Their deaths put life into perspective for me, and also made me more nostalgic for a more simple, slower, intentional time. This is my way of bringing that back, but also giving fellow grievers a unique and heartfelt way to feel supported.

Why a letter? Why not just... a text?

Because you deserve more than a "thinking of you ❤️" in your notifications.

I'm a Certified Grief and Soul Purpose Guide, the host of the Life With Grief Podcast, founder of Losses Become Gains, a wife, girl mom, and parentless daughter.

But more than any of those titles, I'm someone who has walked through deep, life-altering grief just like you.

I created Letters of Light because I know what it feels like to need something to hold onto, and I was craving that for those of us who have, and continue to, walk through loss and grief.

I know what it's like crave connection, understanding, and validation in the middle of loss. To wish someone would just show up—not with advice or silver linings (or yet another casserole), but with presence.

This is my way of showing up for you in a meaningful way that is meant to bring joy and light to your mailbox every single month.

When will my first letter arrive?

Can I gift Letters of Light to someone who is grieving?

Absolutely! Letters of Light is a beautiful gift if you don't feel it's totally right for now. It's especially supportive if you perhaps don't live near the person grieving, or want to support them in a meaningful way, but just can't find the right words. Maybe they're all set on the casseroles and gift baskets, and you want something that feels more personal. This is a perfect option for that! Gift subscriptions will be available at checkout, just be sure to put the correct mailing address at checkout.

What if I need to cancel?

Is this a good replacement therapy or grief counseling?

Completely fine - no hard feelings ever. You can cancel anytime before the 18th of the month and you won't be charged for the following month.

No - if more intensive grief counseling, therapy, or coaching is needed, that is absolutely recommended. While Tara does incorporate her coaching practices into each piece of Letters of Light to gently help the person grieving move forward with ease, it is not a replacement for professional support. How long does delivery take?

Letters ship by the 20th of each month via USPS First Class Mail. Domestic delivery typically takes 3–7 business days, so most subscribers can expect their envelope to arrive by the end of the month. International delivery may take longer depending on your location.

What happens if I don't receive my letter?

If your letter hasn't arrived within 10 business days of the ship date, please reach out to us at hello@lossesbecomegains.com and we'll do our best to make it right. Please note that once letters are handed off to USPS, delivery is outside of our control, but we never want you to feel forgotten.

Can I change my address?

Absolutely! Just make sure any address changes are updated in your account before the 18th of the month. Changes made after the cutoff date will take effect for the following month's mailing. Mail lost due to incorrect or outdated addresses cannot be resent.
