ABOUT YOUR HOST

First off, I'm so happy you're here and curious about this podcast! I'm a Transformational Grief Coach and Soul Purpose.

I'm Jersey-born and California-raised (since I was 10, at least). I'm an Audrey Hepburn die-hard, I love a good Aperol Spritz’, and my daily walks give me life.

The long and short of it is I lost my mom, dad, and beloved 19-year-old dog within two years. With my entire immediate family gone, I didn't know where to start. I was deeply in pain, very lost, confused, and had no idea how to put my life back together.

"Tara has such a way with words and is able to talk about such complex topics with ease. She is a fantastic grief leader and look forward to her convos!"

My mission with Losses Become Gains and the Life With Grief Podcast is to make sure you know your loss doesn't define you, and to remind you that you can find "gains" from your losses to learn, grow, and evolve in the most beautiful way—whether you're grieving or not, really!

It took time, self reflection, research, and a whole lot of self-development and getting to know myself again. This version of myself without the two people I still needed most. There came a moment when I said to myself, There has to be more than this. There has to be more to learn and grow from with everything I've lost. And, I think I can help people through their adversity, too...

It's knowing your grief and your loss will always be with you, and we honor that to our core. As beautiful as life after loss can be, we also embrace the ebbs and flows, and we acknowledge the difficult days and painful emotions that come along with it.

It's all about balance.

There's an undeniable energy that comes with hearing someone's voice when they're speaking passionately about a topic—or, chatting with a guest! We'll be doing that here, too. It's one of those things that can not only turn your day around, but can really make you think about things a little differently. Are you ready? I sure hope so. Start listening...
